ttc s.r.o. completed the project of pipeline management solution consisting of Honeywell’s Experion and ttc’s leak detection system PipeMan for KAUCUK, a.s., Kralupy nad Vltavou (Czech republic). The system manages and monitors the 80 km long product pipeline, which transports ethyl benzene between Chemopetrol Litvínov and Kaucuk Kralupy.
PipeMan is the ttc’s pipeline management solution, focused in leak detection, batch tracking, scheduling and training simulation. The master station is based on Honeywell’s SCADA system Experion R201. It consists of two redundant servers and three workstations, placed in both ends of the pipeline.
The system consists of 15 remote telemetry units; 13 out of them are GE Fanuc Micro, and two GE Fanuc 90-30. The RTUs communicate with master station via radio modems, while having the backup communication through GPRS.
The system is integrated via profibus communication with another SCADA system based on Delta-V, which controls the ethyl benzene processing unit.
KAUCUK, a.s., is a major Czech chemical enterprise. KAUCUK produces a wide range of products for construction, car, electrical and other industries, like styrene-butadiene rubbers, liquid polybutadienes, standard high-impact polystyrene, the expandable polystyrene and acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene polymer (ABS).
